OWNER'S BIO
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in fine art from Columbia College, I began working as a preschool teacher at a creative-curriculum preschool. As an educator, I was struck by how my students embodied a natural gift for play and creativity. I soon came to believe that if this intrinsic creative drive is fostered in an educational environment, then true learning can thrive.
Several years later, in 2012, I sought to somehow use the wise healing properties of creativity to work with adults, children, and families in a therapeutic capacity. I began my Master of Arts in Community Counseling at Regis University in Denver. Around this time, I became a "volunteer companion" at Judi's House, a non-profit offering individual and group therapy for children and families grieving the death of a loved one. During my final year, I took part in an internship at the Family Crisis Center, where I conducted individual and group therapy sessions with youth and supportive family members.
Currently, I am a trained child and family investigator (CFI) and licensed professional counselor (LPC) practicing therapy out of a small private practice in central Denver. I truly love the meaningful nature of this work, assisting adults, children, and families in discovering workable solutions to tough situations.
Thanks so much for your interest and please feel free to contact me for further details about my work and approaches.
